You have to invite them 3 times over 3 days, remembering to talk to them and make their requested item, if you don’t have the DIY they will give you it, and you have until the end of that day to make it and give it to them, then on the third day after making their requested item, keep talking to them and you can then ask them to live on your island, they will go and talk to Tom Nook, if you have an empty plot they will take that, if not they will come back to you and ask you which villager you would like to move of the island, they will go in to boxes, then next day their house will become an empty plot with sold against it, then the following day your new villager will be in that plot. These are third party NFC cards, but functions are the same to the Amiibo card, made from plastic, waterproof and wear-resistant. These also work with Animal Crossing New Leaf on the Nintendo 3DS, you will need there NFC reader to use these cards. These Amiibo’s are for Animal Crossing on Nintendo Switch and the Switch Lite. Please choose the villager from the pull down menu (the number is the card number for that villager which will appear at the top right of your card). This listing is for individual villagers.
